The submarine, which was intercepted off the coast of Galicia on Sunday, was thought to be carrying about 3,000 kilograms of cocaine, news agency EFE quoted Spain’s Guardia Civil as stating.
However, a fundamental government source told Reuters that the narcotics cargo hadn’t been confirmed.
