Spiritual MP’s son killed in Assault in Kyiv

Unknown gunmen opened fire in the vehicle of a local lawmaker in the middle of Ukraine’s capital Kyiv on Sunday, killing his three-year-old son, a police source said.

Vyacheslav Sobolev, a businessman, and Kyiv regional council lawmaker was in the wheel of their automobile when it had been attacked, said the source, whom Reuters stated desired to stay anonymous.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs hasn’t identified the person who owns the automobile or the identity of the victim.

“As a result of a gunshot wound, a kid died in an auto ambulance on the way to hospital,” Ukraine’s Ministry of Internal Affairs stated on Facebook.

In 2010-2011 he had been an executive in Ukraine’s state energy company Naftogaz.

There have been many murders of renowned figures on the streets of Kyiv because Russia annexed Crimea along with a pro-Moscow rebellion flared up in east Ukraine in 2014.

Pavel Sheremet, a Belarussian journalist famous for his criticism of his home nation’s leadership and his friendship with the murdered Russian opposition leader Boris Nemtsov, was murdered in a car bomb in Kyiv at 2016.
