1 person was arrested following an investigation into the fatal shooting of Dutch-Surinamese footballer Kelvin Maynard.
In an announcement on Thursday, Netherlands authorities said the defendant was taken to a police station for questioning and that it might launch more information in due course.
A reason for the shooting hasn’t yet been verified by authorities.
It sparked a guy search for two suspects who were believed to have fled the scene on a black scooter.
The 32-year-old protector had said it had been his”dream” to play soccer in England. He’d played in Portugal and Hungary.
In an announcement at the time of his passing, Burton Albion FC explained it had been”saddened” by the information, and added: “Our sympathies go out to his loved ones and friends at this challenging moment.”
