Sweden: Woman arrested on suspicion of holding Boy captive for 28 years at Stockholm Apartment

A 70-year-old girl was detained on suspicion of locking her son in their flat for 28 years in southern Stockholm in Sweden.

The guy, who’s 41 years old, is reported to be undernourished and with virtually no teeth.

He had been discovered while his mum was in the hospital after a comparative managed to enter the apartment. There she found the guy lying on the ground covered in blisters.

Based on reports, the girl pulled her son from college when he was 12 years old and kept him indoors ever since.

“The mom is suspected of illegal deprivation of freedom and causing bodily injury,” explained Stockholm police spokesman Ola Osterling.

“The guy is currently in hospital. His injuries aren’t life-threatening,” additional Osterling.

The Swedish Prosecution Authority has stated the older woman has denied the offenses.

Authorities have tape stretched across the apartment’s door following crime scene technicians left the scene.

It is reported that the comparative stated the home looked like it had not been washed in years.

The household member, wanting to remain anonymous stated, “I am in shock, brokenhearted, however in precisely the same time relieved. I have been awaiting this day for 20 years since I figured out she had been completely controlling his lifetime, but I never imagined that the scope of it.”

“I knew that he had been there and he has to be afraid because his mom was his only sense of safety and she was gone,” she added.

According to the local press, one unidentified neighbor stated that she hurried to the guy at a nearby grocery shop a couple of months back.

“I know who you’re, you are my neighbor,” the guy had informed her, recognizing her later having seen her through the window,” she explained.

Other neighbors told journalists that they had not seen the guy for quite a while and wondered why social services or the faculty did not check on the boy once he did not go to class all those years back.
