Taapsee Pannu’s Haseen Dillruba is a tribute to Hindi pulp fiction:’That is something That I have Not done before’

Actor Tapsee Pannu comes with an intriguing line-up of movies from 2020 including one known as Haseen Dillruba. The movie will be made by Aanand L Rai and may also celebrity Vikrant Massey.

Talking into Deccan Chronicle, she stated the effect of Hindi pulp fiction is so powerful in the movie. She had been quoted as stating, “Hindi pulp fiction is going to have a powerful impact on this movie. Again, this is something that I have not done previously.”

Taapsee is going to be understood at a never-seen-before avatar at a movie that’s very likely to take you to the world of lurid detective books of Hindi pulp fiction authors such as Surender Mohan Pathak, Ved Prakash Sharma and Colonel Ranjeet, whose books have been a permanent fixture on railroad platforms.

Taapsee, who had been seen last year in movies like Saand Ki Aankh, Mission Mangal and Game Over, will comprise in a biopic on Indian cricketing legend Mithali Raj titled Shabaash Mithu. Taapsee is also viewed at Anubhav Sinha’s Thappad in which she’ll play with a docile housewife. Talking about her character, she told Deccan Chronicle, “I perform with a normal average housewife. It is a docile personality, the type of housewife whose connection is conditioned by patriarchal principles where she’s taken for granted. It’s a completely brand new zone for me”

Directed by Akarsh Khuranna, the movie will probably be bankrolled by Ronnie Screwvalla’s RSVP Movies.
