Iranian President Hassan Rouhani stated on Saturday that Tehran was closely after US actions, but would not initiate a battle in the area.
Rouhani’s remarks, which come in a time of increasing tension between Washington and Tehran, were created during a phone call to Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, Iranian state media reported.
“The Islamic Republic of Iran follows America’s actions and moves carefully, but it is going to not be the one which starts conflict and anxiety in the area,” Rouhani was quoted as saying throughout the telephone, held as a result of the beginning of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.
US President Donald Trump said on Wednesday he’d taught the US Navy to shoot any undercover boats that disturb it.
Before this month, the US military said 11 Revolutionary Guards naval vessels came near US Navy and Coast Guard boats at the Gulf, predicting the motions”dangerous and fascinating”.
