The Actual Reason Disney fired Johnny Depp from Pirates of the Caribbean, can bring him back

Only a couple of decades before, Johnny Depp was among those highest-paid celebrities on the planet, however, allegations of domestic violence left him box office poison.

According to a Washington Post report, Disney is thought to have fallen Depp in the Pirates franchise only four days following Heard’s incendiary 2018 op-ed at precisely the same novel, where she promised, without seeing Depp, she had been the victim of domestic violence. Depp’s attorneys claimed that the celebrity’s elimination from the multibillion-dollar grossing franchise was due to her allegations.

“The criticism also blamed Heard to Disney declaring that it had fallen Depp in the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise four times following the op-ed was printed,” the report stated.

In 2018, Disney production chief Sean Bailey verified that Depp was no more part of the franchise’s long term strategies. He told The Hollywood Reporter,” we would like to bring into a brand new energy and energy efficiency. I adore that the [Pirates] films, but a part of the reason (authors ) Paul (Wernick) and Rhett (Reese) are so intriguing is that we would like to give it a kick in the pants. And that is what I have tasked them with.”

Formerly, the first Pirates movie’s screenwriter Stuart Beattie had verified that the studio had been seeking to reboot the sequence. “I think he has had a terrific run,” he informed DailyMailTV. “He has created that character his own and it has been the thing he’s most famous for the time being. It has been fantastic for him and it has been great for all of us. There is that saying,’Do does not worry because it is over, smile because it occurred’ The simple fact that they are rebooting something which you did signifies that you did something worth rebooting. It is an honor”

Still, another reason for his removal might be a simple fact that Disney could not afford him. According to Forbes, Depp’s salary, for example, a healthy profit percent, reaches near $100 million each Pirates movie – that is nearly Rs 700 crore – however, the previous entry posted unremarkable box office numbers. Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, the series’ fifth movie, enrolled a box office haul of nearly $800 million, well under the more than $1 billion plantations of their franchise’s fourth and second movies, along with also the $963 million hauls of this third one. Disney is seeking to save $90 million by recasting Depp, ” the report stated.

But, according to another report, recent improvements in Depp’s continuing legal tussle with Heard imply that Disney could be having second thoughts about the celebrity. A WeGotThisCovered report asserted that”after a string of revelations from the court case between both former partners, we are hearing the 56-year-old could be put to reprise his Academy Award-nominated signature function at the upcoming sixth film.” The report stated that Disney wants to employ a female lead for the upcoming movie, with Depp emerging in a supportive role.

Depp has played with Jack Sparrow in five Pirates movies, which have jointly made more than $4.5 billion globally.
