Turkey and Russia to discuss Elimination of Kurdish militia from Syrian Cities

Turkey and Russia will discuss the Elimination of the Syrian Kurdish YPG militia in the northern Syrian cities of Manbij and Kobani during talks in Sochi next week,” Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu Stated on Sunday.

Ankara agreed with Washington on Thursday to meet its offensive to northeast Syria for five days to permit the YPG to draw from a projected”secure zone”. President Tayyip Erdogan will travel to Sochi on Tuesday for crisis talks on Syria together with his Russian counterpart.

In a meeting with broadcaster Kanal 7, Cavusoglu stated Turkey anticipated the YPG to be eliminated from regions where the Syrian authorities, backed by Moscow, have settled northern Syria. He said Turkey didn’t wish to observe that a single YPG fighter left from the”secure zone” in the conclusion of the truce period.
