Ukraine, separatists Start planned troop withdrawal from Southern region – See

Allied government forces and Russian-backed rebels started a planned withdrawal of troops and weaponry from a village at the eastern Donbas area on Saturday, a Reuters witness at the scene stated.

The troop pullback from the village of Petrivske is among a string of confidence-building steps that may pave the way to get a four-way summit between Ukraine, Russia, France, and Germany aimed at finishing the simmering Donbas battle.

Struggling between Allied forces and Russian-backed fighters has murdered over 13,000 because 2014, with the two sides accused each other of violating a ceasefire which has been agreed in the Belarus capital Minsk in 2015.

The Kyiv authorities has stated the withdrawal from the village of Petrivske would indicate that Ukraine has fulfilled all required states from its own side for peace summit to occur.
