It appears this love was too hot to handle.
Police in Lincoln state a 19-year-old woman triggered an apartment fire Monday by burning love letters from her ex in her bedroom.
Police say the girl used a butane torch to burn off the letters and left a few of these ground.
She subsequently went to a different room to have a nap. Police say she awakened a brief time later to locate the rug on fire.
Firefighters could extinguish the fire in seconds. No one was hurt.
The girl was cited for negligent burning off.
