Countless Twitter users have shared with a Fictitious Quotation from Prime Minister, Sanna Marin, Seeing US President Donald Trump.
The message describes an anecdote at a new book by former US National Security Advisor, John Bolton, that includes numerous disparaging comments about Trump.
On Saturday, a tweet claimed that Marin had reacted to the US President over revelations that he didn’t know whether Finland had been an independent state or a Russian country.
The tweet has obtained over 130,000’enjoys’ and continues to be shared over 37,000 times, such as from the retired former director of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), General Michael Hayden.
The prior Estonian President, Toomas Hendrik Ilves, had shared with the fictitious message on Twitter, praising Marin.
However, Finland’s manager of government communications, Päivi Anttikoski, stated the claim is untrue.
“Prime Minister Marin hasn’t commented on anything associated with John Bolton’s publication at all,” Anttikoski tweeted Sunday.
“The tweet that disperses about the topic in the USA isn’t correct.”
A message like the false quote was shared on social websites by the united kingdom satirical television program Have I Got News For You on June 18.
Helena Liikanen-Renger, the media spokesperson in the Finnish Embassy in Washington DC, has also said that the Prime Minister hasn’t commented on Bolton’s publication.
In 2019 Trump caused controversy by suggesting that California should discover how to shield against wildfires from Finland.
Hundreds of Finns reacted to the US President on Twitter below the hashtag #rakefinlandgreatagain, many posting images of themselves at the woods or their gardens.
