According to the autobiography, entirely excerpted from the Daily Mail, the mythical singer revealed the London celebration was nominated for former Walt Disney Studios chairman Jeffrey Katzenberg.

“Straight away, Richard Gere and Diana appeared very taken with one another,” wrote John, explaining that in the moment, Diana was split by Prince Charles and Gere had finished his connection with Cindy Crawford.

“Since the rest of us cried, I could not help notice a peculiar atmosphere in the room. Inspired by the sort of appearances he kept shooting them, Diana and Richard Gere’s newly blossoming friendship wasn’t going down well with Sylvester Stallone whatsoever,” he added. “I believe he might have turned up into the celebration with the express goal of picking Diana up, just to discover his plans for the day destroyed.”

Throughout dinner Gere and Stallone were all absent, and John’s husband David Furnish found them”squaring up to one another, seemingly going to settle their differences Diana with a fist-fight.”

Although Furnish managed to split up things, John noted the strain between the trio was evident for the remainder of the evening.

“After supper, Diana and Richard Gere declared their position together facing the flame, and Sylvester stormed off house,” John wrote in his memoir, including that the celebrity shouted that he”never could have come” when he understood”Prince f–n’ Charming was faking na be here’.”

John’s memoir provides other revelations about his friend.
